Mark your calendars for the ASA’s annual conference in Arlington, Virginia on April 26-27, 2025. This live in-person only brings together leaders and experts from the acupuncture field with the topic of cultivating our future together. We will celebrate ASA’s 10th anniversary with a celebratory Chinese dinner banquet. In addition, following the conference on April 28th, we will be returning to Capitol Hill to provide acupuncture demonstrations in our Acupuncture for Our Public Servants event.

Call for Speakers: ASA 2025 Annual Conference – Cultivating Our Future Together

We are excited to invite you to submit proposals for lecture presentations at the 2025 American Society of Acupuncturists’ Annual Conference!

The ASA Annual Conference is a premier gathering of acupuncture professionals dedicated to advancing the field through education, collaboration, and innovation. This year’s conference theme is “Cultivating Our Future Together,” and ASA’s 10th Anniversary.  We are seeking dynamic and engaging presentations that explore how acupuncture and herbal medicine can shape a thriving future for the profession and the well-being of our communities. Presentations may be virtual for our pre-Conference Webinar series or live in person in Arlington, Virginia on April 26-27, 2025.

Presentation Topics:

We encourage submissions that explore the theme of “Cultivating Our Future Together” in the context of acupuncture and herbal medicine. Presentations should be 50-minute lecture style. Here are some ideas to get you started:

• The Future of Practice:
  • New and emerging applications 
  • Integrating acupuncture and herbal medicine into evolving healthcare models
  • Building a sustainable and successful practice
• The Future of Research:
  • Cutting-edge research 
  • Our role in addressing future healthcare challenges
  • Advancing evidence-based practice in acupuncture and herbal medicine
• The Future of Collaboration:
  • Our role in integrative medicine
  • Collaborations with other healthcare professionals
  • Expanding acupuncture’s reach through public health initiatives
• The Future of Our Community:
  • Fostering inclusive diversity, equity, and access
  • Building a strong voice for acupuncture advocacy
  • Empowering the next generation of acupuncturists

Who Should Apply:

We welcome proposals from acupuncturists, researchers, educators, and other healthcare professionals with expertise in acupuncture, who are passionate about shaping a bright future for the field.

Submission Guidelines:

• Please submit a proposal of no more than 350 words that outlines your presentation topic, learning objectives, and how it connects to the conference theme “Cultivating Our Future Together.”
• Include a CV, along with a brief biography (maximum 300 words), highlighting your relevant experience and accomplishments.
• Proposals can be submitted electronically through our Submission Form by November 24, 2024.
• Needling demonstrations may only be presented in recorded video format. 

Selection Criteria:

Proposals will be reviewed by a selection committee based on the following criteria:

• Relevance to the conference theme and target audience
• Originality and depth of content
• Clarity and conciseness of presentation
• Presenter’s qualifications and experience
• Connection to the future of acupuncture
